XF-70 Dark Green 2 is Tamiya’s take on the authentic dark green worn by late-war Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft a touch cooler and deeper than a standard olive, and the shade you want if you’re chasing an accurate IJN carrier or land-based scheme. Small jar, big accuracy.

Best for

Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft camouflage
Late-war Pacific theatre builds
Brush painting straight from the jar or airbrushing once thinned

Water-soluble and easy to work with, it thins cleanly with Tamiya X-20A for a smooth, even coat through an airbrush, or goes on flat and matt straight off the brush for hand-painted panels and details.

The correct IJN green, no guesswork. Pick up a bottle of X-20A thinner and browse the rest of the Tamiya acrylic range to round out a Pacific theatre build.
