Swamps, sludge and haunted mill-ponds this is the stuff. Green Stuff World’s dark green water effect gel is a thick acrylic paste for building convincing murky water straight onto a base or diorama: trowel it on, tease it into ripples and eddies, and it dries to a translucent, glossy finish with an ominous green depth that plain clear resin can’t match.

Best for

  • Swampy bases, bogs and stagnant pools with proper depth of colour
  • Rivers, shorelines and puddles on gaming boards and dioramas
  • Ripples, wakes and small waves the gel holds its texture as it dries

Work it in thin layers for the cleanest finish each coat dries clearer than it looks going on, and you can stack layers for deeper water. The 250ml tub goes a long way, whether that’s a squad’s worth of swamp bases or one centrepiece board.

Apply with a brush or spatula straight from the tub. Water-based and easy to clean up, so it’s as friendly to first-time basers as it is to seasoned terrain builders.
