A key tone of Britain’s wartime maritime camouflage. RAF Dark Slate Grey was one of the upper-surface colours in the Temperate Sea Scheme, worn by Fleet Air Arm aircraft from 1939 to the end of WWII and by RAF Coastal Command machines in 194143. If you build Swordfish, Albacores or early Coastal patrol aircraft, this green-grey is central to the look.

Best for

  • Temperate Sea Scheme upper surfaces, 193945
  • Fleet Air Arm aircraft
  • RAF Coastal Command machines, 194143

Paired with Extra Dark Sea Grey it gives that distinctive two-tone maritime disruptive pattern subtle, but bang-on for the subject.

An essential wartime maritime grey. Pair it with Extra Dark Sea Grey from the AK Real Colors range.
