Same 2mm footprint as the classic disc, three times the depth and that changes what they can do. These 2mm 3mm N52 neodymium rods from Colour Forge sink deep into a drilled hole, giving a small join serious grip and doubling as a magnetic pin. Where a slim disc might pop loose on a heavy arm, a rod seated in 3mm of plastic stays put.

  • Resin and metal models where extra hold matters

Fitting tips

  • Drill a 2mm hole at least 3mm deep and seat with superglue
  • Check polarity twice a buried rod is no fun to reverse
  • Pair with a matching rod, or a 2mm disc on the shallower side of the join
